TIM RUDNICK ART

Drawings 1992-2022
In his drawings, Rudnick explores the structure and play of light. The images in the drawings remain partially out of focus, as if photographically blurred, allowing the viewer’s eye, and mind, to “complete” them. In fact, with their delicate lines and diffuse appearance, the drawings approach a Zen-like simplicity and calm.

Influenced by Greco-Roman sculpture and its Renaissance and Modern descendants, Rudnick closely studies ancient classicism and the figure in neo-classical art, from Michelangelo to Rodin.
